About Binod Bihari Mahto Koyalanchal University, Dhanbad "Binod Bihari Mahto Koyalanchal University, Dhanbad” came into existence by the Jharkhand Govt. Notification of 23rd March 2017, published as Gazettes Notification No 216 (Extra Ordinary) dated 11th April 2017. Foundation stone of the University Campus was laid on 13th November 2017 by the Chief Minister of Jharkhand, Sri. Raghubar Das.
The University has 13 Constituent Colleges, 23 Affiliated Colleges, 23 B.Ed. Colleges, 02 Nursing Colleges, 03 Law Colleges, and 01 Medical College, 01 Pharmacy College, 01 Deficit Grant Minority College across Dhanbad and Bokaro districts of Jharkhand, with its headquarters at Dhanbad.
The University offers Undergraduate and Postgraduate courses with 28 Postgraduate Departments. More Than 30,000 students get enrolled every year in different UG and PG programmes under this University. More than 200 Research Scholars are pursuing Ph.D in different departments of this University.
